Qavavau Manumie: ”Jakt på säl, narwal, val och annat från havet är en mycket viktig del av inuiternas kultur. Vi känner till djuren i havet väl och vi respekterar dem, de har hjälpt inuitfolket att överleva i tusentals år. Jag vill dela med mig av jakttraditionerna genom mina teckningar, det sätt som det gjordes då och hur vi gör det nu, och hur vi fortfarande respekterar vad djuren i havet har gett oss."

Qavavau Manumie: “Hunting for seal, narwal, whale and other things from the sea is a very important part of Inuit culture. We know about the animals in the sea and we respect them, those animals have helped the Inuit people to survive for thousands of years. I want to share the traditions of hunting through my drawings, the way that was done then and the ways that we do it now, and how we still respect what the animals in the sea have given us."

Qavavau Manumie: „Die Jagd auf Robben, Narwale, Wale und andere Meerestiere ist ein sehr wichtiger Teil der Inuit-Kultur. Wir wissen um die Tiere im Meer und respektieren sie, diese Tiere haben den Inuit seit Jahrtausenden geholfen, zu überleben. Ich möchte die Traditionen der Jagd durch meine Zeichnungen teilen, die Art und Weise, wie es damals gemacht wurde und wie wir es heute tun, und wie wir immer noch respektieren, was die Tiere im Meer uns gegeben haben."

Qavavau Manumie : "La chasse au phoque, au narval, à la baleine et à d'autres choses de la mer est une partie très importante de la culture inuite. Nous connaissons les animaux de la mer et nous les respectons, ces animaux ont aidé les Inuits à survivre pendant des milliers d'années. Je veux partager les traditions de la chasse à travers mes dessins, la façon dont on le faisait alors et les façons dont nous le faisons maintenant, et comment nous respectons toujours ce que les animaux de la mer nous ont donné."
